Thank you and congratulations! You just attended the 9th Annual Patrick Dimpsey Merry Christmas Fun Run. Wowee don’t you feel great? I know I do! And really, isn’t that what matters most. Because the PDMCFR is the reason for the season; one glorious day to celebrate everything Patrick. And I know what you’re thinking, “boy oh boy, this guy has a big head.” To that, I take offense. Yes, I understand my head is large. I’m very sensitive about that. So that was rude of you. My hat size is 7 5/8, just incase you were gonna buy me hat. No pressure, but you brought it up, so honestly I am kind of expecting one.
Ok enough about that, I’m over it. Let us take a look at everything that has happened in 2017. Where to start! North Korea. North Korea has been really something this year. I have never called Kim Jong Un short and fat, so I don’t know why he would insult me and never come to the PDMCFR. Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend. Sad! Also, there was an eclipse this year. Come to think of it, the Sun has also never made an appearance at the PDMCFR. Even after I didn’t call the Sun bright and dumb. Double sad! Everyone/thing that doesn’t come to the PDMCFR is bad and stupid. No one knows things that are dumb and stupid more then me. Trust me!
In 2017 the United States saw the largest single day protest in it’s history, Catalonia wants a divorce from Spain, and Hungry hosted the World’s Fair. Also Hungry didn’t host the World’s Fair. I don’t know if there was one this year. I just made that up. But if Hungry did host, and I just guessed it, well that would be pretty swell.
A lot more happened in 2017. Eric got a new bike. Mary and Phillip continue their on again off again relationship. Teddy skinned his knee in the park. Louisa hit a baseball through Ol’ Man Robinson’s front window. Frank found some ninja throwing stars. Boy was it a crazy year.
But now that 2017 is over, and the PDMCFR is over. We can take time to reflect on what really matters. The next PDMCFR. The next PDMCFR is a big one. The last one. That is right, you have one year to train. One year to plan. For the Final Patrick Dimpsey Merry Christmas Fun Run. So get to it.
Thank you for attending. I had a blast and I’m sure you did too.
Merry Patrick and a Patrick New Year
